As we are getting closer to the kick off for the Soccer World Cup in Brazil on the 12th of June, the excitement is building (definitely in certain parts of the world). I am always fascinated how much marketing and advertising dollars are being spent during an event like this and I love watching all the creative ideas emerge.
Here is my favourite virtual ad for this worldcup. It is produced by Van Gils who is the official tailor for the Dutch national team. It is creative, funny, smart, but also serves a bigger purpose, to help protect the wild lion population, that has been in sharp decline (The lion is the Dutch national symbol and stands for courage). Van Gils has joined up with Kevin Richardson to make a stand for the lion by producing this advertisement.
Here it is, enjoy…Tags: world cup marketing
