I really enjoy working with young and talented students. They have a fresh, open perspective of the world, understand the latest technologies, are full of enthusiasm and are equipped with the most up to date academic theories.
Since two years, Twinlife Marketing has been part of The University Of Sydney Study Abroad Internship Program. Every 6 months, we welcome an international student in our team and it has been a very satisfying experience.
Projects my interns have worked on have been marketing, online and social media related. I’ve been very impressed with their dedication and creativity and my clients have also really enjoyed meeting our interns. I do see this relationship as a win-win partnership. We get young talent into our business and we try to give the international students a great work-experience.
At the moment, we are fortunate enough to have Andrea Rhoads from New York, as part of our team. Andrea has been a big help in putting together this Inspirational Marketing blog.
Here is Andrea’s experience as an intern with Twinlife Marketing:
“When I first arrived in Australia, I knew that I wanted to be involved in all that I could be for my time here. I wanted to keep myself open to new opportunities. My favourite inspirational quote is “wherever you go, go with all your heart” and I intended to put my whole heart into my time in Australia.
When I found out that I would have the opportunity to be an intern at Twinlife Marketing working with Sonja I was truly excited for this new experience. Working as an intern has given me insight into the world of marketing. I have learned so much about marketing, but also about how a business is run.
Sonja runs her business in such a unique way, it has inspired me to think about the type of business I would eventually like to work with. It is great to be able to give my advice, apply my knowledge, and have my voice heard. In addition to this, I have been able to interview some amazing people and learn about their journeys with their businesses and their inspiration in life.
Perhaps the most important thing I’ve learned is how important every interaction with every person you meet is. You never know who will be your next client, best friend, or mentor. I thank Sonja for giving me this amazing opportunity and I am excited for future jobs where I will be able to apply this knowledge and continue to learn more every day.” Andrea Rhoads
As I mentioned before, I think that it is a brilliant opportunity for businesses to get access to these talented young people.
